TAKA is a 30 metre vessel surveyed for 30 passengers and 12 crew. Cruising the Great Barrier Reef at 11 knots and offering air-conditioned comfort she has a cruising range of 5000 miles.

Accommodation is available with 1 x Stateroom, 5 x Double / Twin ensuite, 1 x 2 berth, 4 x 4 berth all airconditioned. What is Included: All Linen, including two towels per person. Transfers to / from the vessel from cairns city accommodation, Tanks, Weights and Safety Kits, two night dives with torches, free dive guide, superb meals - freshly prepared onboard from dinner on the evening of departure to lunch on the last day, snacks after every dive, complimentary tea, coffee.

What to bring: Dive Certification Card and Log Book, Hat, Suncreen and Sunglasses, a warm jumper, a sense of humour (smiles), Motion Sickness Tablets if you are prone to sea sickness, extra money or credit card for on board purchases and EMC.  Please notify us of any special dietary requirements you may have.  An EMC (environmental management charge) applies for all persons entering the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage area.

Special Note: Why is TAKA cheaper than Mike Ball or Spirit of Freedom ? The Answer is permits to reef locations and there is no flight. The Cod Hole and Osprey Reef is situated 14 hours of steaming by boat away from Cairns. You depart at 5.00 pm on the night of travel and have dinner and sleep while the boat takes you to your first dive at Cod Hole the next morning. This is all well and good except if we have 30 knot winds wouldnt you say. Is there STAND BY Rates.......... absolutely
